Teller Scheduler - Overstaffed (figure 1.1)

An overstaffed branch looks like the above chart (figure 1.1) on FMSI’s schedule editor screen. The black line represents the optimal level of staffing throughout the day. Ideally, there should only be white space above the optimally staffed line (see figure 1.2).

Financial institutions achieve an optimally staffed branch through WFO solutions from software companies like FMSI.  The detailed scheduling and reporting helps branches mirror their teller line shifts and part-time employees with transaction ebbs and flows throughout the week.
